How much Rock do I need?
The formula we use to calculate how much material you need is a cubic yard to ton conversion. We like to say it is typically a 1 cubic yard to 1.25-ton ratio. Below is the exact chart used in the office to calculate for our clients how much material they will need for solid coverage. We recommend a depth of 3 inches for the most basic coverage of a pre-flattened area. We are also happy to do the conversion for you via phone at 719-580-7006 or in person in the office, as long as you have details of the length and width of your perspective space.
